Interior designer, Nicole Dohmen credits her knowledge of photography for her richly saturated, colorful, and layered aesthetic. For the home of actors Carice van Houten and Guy Pearce, Nicole created a kaleidoscopic interior, covering every surface in color and pattern.

Making a statement from the moment you step through the door, was the idea behind this bold entrance. In order to implement this great idea we decided to use 10 different shades of marble. The tiles were all waste material, so we loved being able to implement them in this way and upcycle these beautiful one of a kind stones.

We worked with a client who loved bold statements and having outstanding taste was a dream. We embraced warm, natural hues like peagreens, sandy yellows and warm corals to blend seamlessly with surrounding nature.

Soft pinks can go a long way in creating a cosy oasis that's comforting and flattering. "The client wanted a laidback living room with gentle colors, so we used blush, ecru and salmon hues to create this effect.
